Step 1 - Bake one 8x8 Devil's Food cake (henceforth known as DFC) in home oven. Throw it away when it comes out too dry.
Step 2 - Bake second (2nd) DFC with extra egg whites to "ensure" moistness.
Step 3 - Bake third (3rd) and fourth (4th) DFCs in boyfriend's oven. Refrigerate all DFCs overnight.
Step 4 - Whip up a triple batch of peanut butter frosting (henceforth known as PBF) and thank God that you finally got rid of those three jars of peanut butter in your pantry.
Step 5 - Assembly: Stack 3rd and 4th DFCs, alternating between DFC and a layer of PBF and chopped Reeses.
Step 6 - Place 2nd DFC on top. Call for reinforcement (suitable forms of reinforcement include, but are not limited to: roommates, spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, and concerned friends) when 2nd DFC begins to crumble.
Step 7 - Patch cracks in the top (2nd) DFC with clutch chocolate frosting.
Step 8 - Frost cake with a generous amount of PFB, but reserve some for decorations.
Step 9 - Decorate and refrigerate.
Step 10 - Check on your beautiful new cake periodically taking special care to bemoan the side that has begun to bulge and crack.
