I'm too anxious about registration to sleep, so I've been obsessing over my degree plan for the past hour and I've discovered something rather odd. I've counted the number of hours I still have left to take a couple of times and I keep getting the same result. Here's the breakdown: right now I still need 61 hours to graduate with a major in English and a minor in Spanish. This summer I'm going to take 9 dreadful hours, which puts me at 52. I intend to take 16 hours in the fall (assuming I get all of the classes that I want 3 hours from now), which equals 36. That means I'll have to spread 36 hours over 3 semesters if I want to graduate on time. If I take
anything above the required 12 hours per semester after next fall I will be in danger of graduating early. Since I want to stay in college as long as I can, I'm very disturbed by this possiblity. Yikes! I say - 12 hours and a job it is!
