Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning

I'm too anxious about registration to sleep, so I've been obsessing over my degree plan for the past hour and I've discovered something rather odd. I've counted the number of hours I still have left to take a couple of times and I keep getting the same result. Here's the breakdown: right now I still need 61 hours to graduate with a major in English and a minor in Spanish. This summer I'm going to take 9 dreadful hours, which puts me at 52. I intend to take 16 hours in the fall (assuming I get all of the classes that I want 3 hours from now), which equals 36. That means I'll have to spread 36 hours over 3 semesters if I want to graduate on time. If I take anything above the required 12 hours per semester after next fall I will be in danger of graduating early. Since I want to stay in college as long as I can, I'm very disturbed by this possiblity. Yikes! I say - 12 hours and a job it is!
