Most kids are content to just doodle

I discovered a notepad full of drawings as I was cleaning out the game room today, and nestled among them was a two-page story that I wrote when I was approximately ten years old. My drawing style hasn't changed much in ten years but I'm happy to report that my handwriting, storytelling ability, and spelling have improved significantly. I typed the story up to share with all of you readers and here it is, complete with all of the spelling errors and offensive apostrophes:

The Adventurs of…
Grand Gary, Super Sarah, Terrific Trey, Great Greg!

Chapter 1
Once there were four friends, Gary, Sarah, Trey, and Greg. One day they were playing “Nintendo 64” when all of a sudden the controlers shook and the friends turned into, the Nintendo Heros! They had to meet with Star Fox, Mario, and Krash Bandicoop to learn how to fight. They will battel many enimes but before they start they must get name’s! “Well, we could have names that start with the first letter of our first name!?” suggested Greg who was the youngest. “Great!” shouted Sarah, who was the 2nd oldest. “I’ll be Super Sarah!” “I’ll be Grand Gary!” cried Gary, who was the oldest, “And we’ll be Terrific Trey and Great Greg!” they yelled together. So, with the help of their 2 pets, Fantastic Fergie and Calabunga Callie they went off to fight evil.

Chapter 2
“Our first mssion!” cried Trey. “Yes!” shouted Gary. “Read it!” “I’ll read it.” Sarah said. It read,
Dear Nintendo Heros,
Your first mission defeat 1-13-1-14-4-1 and save BCCJ and their cat peper. Please help!
Mario

“I know where 1-13-1-14-4-1 live’s.” “She live’s in 1405 Villin Av.” Yelled Greg. “Let’s go!” So they ran up to the play room and grabbed the N 64 contolers and went to 1405 Villin Av. They went in and saw a sad sight! 1-13 was spitting, saying bigs words and worst of all EATING!

English major indeed.
