Despite her many obvious flaws, Cinderella got one thing right

I had a dream last night that was absolutely delicious and I woke up this morning feeling totally calm and peaceful. I go to sleep for dreams like that. Even though I have a lot of issues with Cinderella, I have to admit that she got the whole "a dream is a wish..." thing right. If you're unsure of what I'm referring to, then just Google the lyrics. Under no circumstances should you submit to watching the movie!

The current weather situation in this state is really throwing me off. It's almost May and the daily highs are only around 80 degrees. Hello, earth to Texas, it's supposed to be pushing 95 already! I don't necessarily mind the cooler temperatures, but I've been looking forward to wearing Soffees and wifebeaters for the past month now but it's still too dang cold in the mornings. Al Gore, you and your cronies at ABC, NBC, Discovery, et. al. almost had me believing in global warming, but then the Texas blizzard happened. When I'm snowed into my house in July, your book will be the first one I burn for warmth (word, Mr. H, I'll give credit where credit's due).

I've decided to wait until I get my own place before adopting a cat. I kind of rue my decision since this would be the perfect summer to get one because I'll be at home among people who know how to handle spaying, shots, declawing, and the like, but it just wouldn't be fair. I'd have to keep the kitty cooped up in my room most of the time and she'd get hair all over my bed (and I can't stand cat hair in my bed). As such, I won't have my own Eden/Nilla/Abra/Cinna/whatever until my senior year. Practicality is a cruel mistress.

Did you know that list makers are more likely to be interested in grad school than non-list makers? No wonder I've already looked into the Masters of English program at this fine university! I have a running list of future cat names, a list of rules for successful creative writing, a list of all the different varieties of apples that I've tasted (complete with pictures and descriptions), and I never go to the grocery store without a list. Look out, 600-level courses!

Some more things that I like: Green tea with two packets of Sweet 'n Low, bananas, cookies, ice cream, cats, chick flicks, brightly colored text, candles, tanning lotion, flavored coffee, good music, worthless trivia, Diet Coke, old friends, nostogia, and personality quirks.
Some things I don't like: Times New Roman, numbers, excessive junk food consumption, being bossed around, know-it-alls, apostrophes used to indicate plurality, and stupid movies.
